The need to keep increasingly sophisticated machinery functioning and efficient will always exist in the workplace. Our industrial maintenance technician program provides you with the skills to install, repair and assemble machinery. The Certificate of Applied Science in Industrial Maintenance provides learners with the entry-level skills path for careers as pipefitters, millwrights, industrial maintenance and multi-craft technicians. Students studying on a full-time semester may expect to complete the certificate in one academic year.

This program is designed to combine with the Certificate of Applied Science in Electricity & Instrumentation degree to obtain the Associate of Applied Science in Multi-Craft Technology. Consider continuing your education with the electricity and instrumentation technology certificate. With those 30 credit hours, you can obtain the associate-level multi-craft technology degree and have a broader skill set to further your career.

Certificate of Applied Science in Industrial Maintenance

The Certificate of Applied Science in Industrial Maintenance prepares graduates for jobs in every form of industry where machines are used. Industrial maintenance technicians are required anytime a piece of machinery or equipment is installed, aligned, repaired, repositioned or dismantled. Personnel is also needed to perform preventative and routine scheduled maintenance on this equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and efficiently.

This program prepares graduates for positions as technicians that install, service, repair and maintain electrical equipment in today’s modern industrial, commercial and/or manufacturing facilities. Students in this program receive the skills necessary to work with high voltage, 3 phase, commercial electrical equipment.

Associate of Applied Science in Multi-Craft Technology

This program prepares graduates for positions as technicians that install, service, repair and maintain equipment in today’s modern industrial, commercial and/or manufacturing facilities. Courses include preventive maintenance, system design, and troubleshooting concepts that integrate practical application and knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
