The WVU Parkersburg Tutoring and Testing Center offers a variety of services, including FREE tutoring, a quiet place to study, campus computers, access to science resource materials and an area to take exams.
You can visit tutor.wvup.edu to view tutoring subjects, times and to schedule appointments. Free tutoring and proofreading services can also be found at brainfuse.wvup.edu. Both websites require you to log in with your WVU Parkersburg student credentials.
Our tutoring center also offers Kurzweil® 3000, an award-winning, research-based assistive technology tool that helps students who are auditory learners or who have learning disabilities. Kurzweil® 3000 literacy software reads aloud highlighted text, documents, and online HTML content. A staff member will assist students with creating an account and by providing further instructions for its use. For more information, contact Jennifer Conrad-Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 304-424-8295.
If you’re looking to take a college make-up exam, a college faculty member must first contact the Testing Center before you can schedule an appointment. Students can test into classes by taking an Accuplacer exam or out of classes by scheduling a test through CLEP. We also offer the opportunity for students and the community to take certification exams like PRAXIS and PearsonVue, but individuals must register for these through the specific authorized organization.
