
Associate of Arts
The Associate of Arts degree is designed for transfer to other colleges and universities. Students who wish to earn a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree at any other institution can complete their first two years at WVU Parkersburg. This associate degree program is the foundation to the following majors: art, education, English, history, journalism, mathematics, music, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, social work, sociology, Spanish, communications and theatre.
We also have an articulation agreement with West Virginia University, meaning this associate degree and all its credits will seamlessly transfer into a four-year program at WVU. You may earn a bachelor degree at WVU in biology, chemistry, English, history, mathematics, music, physics, psychology or sociology.

Generally, the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees are designed for students transferring to four-year programs. The Associate of Applied Science may also be transferred to an applied baccalaureate degree.
