If you are graduating and are an honorably discharged U.S. Veteran, or currently serving in the U.S. military (active duty, National Guard or Reserves), upon graduation you are authorized to wear a Veterans Honor Cord.

The Veterans Resource Center will host a Veterans Honor Cords Ceremony either at its local VFW or American Legion the week before commencement.

Details will be provided the end of the semester. If you are not able to attend the ceremony, you may pick up your Honor Cord and Challenge Coin the week prior to commencement in the Veterans Resource Center during hours of operation.

If you are an eligible student planning on graduating, be sure to fill out our Veterans

Graduation Honor Cord Request Form.

The honor cord and challenge coin is provided to you at no cost by the Veterans Corps of WVU Parkersburg. Please contact the VRC if you have additional questions.
