Hi there! My name is Ricky the Riverhawk, your personal helper bot. Before I answer your questions, how would you describe yourself?

Veterans Honor Cords

In recognition of your military service to the United States of America, West Virginia University at Parkersburg would like to honor your graduation by authorizing you to wear red, white and blue honor cords to your commencement ceremony. You will also receive the Veterans Corps Challenge Coin.

Eligibility

If you are graduating and are an honorably discharged U.S. Veteran, or currently serving in the U.S. military (active duty, National Guard or Reserves), upon graduation you are authorized to wear a Veterans Honor Cord.

Distribution

The Veterans Resource Center will host a Veterans Honor Cords Ceremony either at its local VFW or American Legion the week before commencement.

Details will be provided at the end of the semester. If you are not able to attend the ceremony, you may pick up your Honor Cord and Challenge Coin the week prior to commencement in the Veterans Resource Center during hours of operation.

The honor cord and challenge coin are provided to you at no cost by the Veterans Corps of WVU Parkersburg. Please contact the VRC if you have additional questions.
