CHORALE PERFORMANCE. The College Chorale of West Virginia University at Parkersburg will present its Spring Concert in the Community on Wednesday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1341 Juliana Street, Parkersburg. The concert, which will include sacred and secular compositions from several styles and cultures, is FREE and the public is invited.

IT WAS RAPE. The one-hour film “It Was Rape” by Jennifer Baumbardner will be shown in the WVUP Theater (Room 1305) at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5. It will be shown at the same time at Jackson County Center in Room 206. The film is sponsored by the WVUP Social Justice Committee in observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and in conjunction with the April 5 “Day of Action.”

CONGRATULATIONS! Three West Virginia University at Parkersburg students have been selected to be part of the 2016 West Virginia American Choral Directors Collegiate Honor Choir. College Chorale members Juliane Beckett, Austin Fields, and Benjamin Houghton will join singers from colleges and universities across the state for this annual event in Charleston, culminating with a festival concert on Saturday, January 30. Dr. Gregory Fuller, professor of music at the University of Southern Mississippi, will be the guest conductor.
