Our programs appeal to a wide variety of students, whether they are seeking a new career opportunity or to further their current skill set.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the registration process for short term programs different then how you register for credit classes in the main building?

Yes, it is also an online application. Please make sure to select ‘WED’ as the application type.

Payment Information:

  • If a student is paying out of pocket, they must sign a contract and set up their installment plan with the Business Office prior to the program starting and the funding deadline.
  • No refunds will be issued if a student withdraws from classes after the second day of attendance.

Is there a funding source for short term programs?

Yes, the Future Workforce Grant is the only form of financial aid we have for short-term programs.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Complete the FAFSA (FAFSA)
  • Be a resident of West Virginia for at least one year
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Complete the Grant application (Future Workforce Grant)

Do I get any credits for the short term course?

Yes, we convert professional credit to academic credit.

Do you have job placement?

We arrange clinicals and shadowing for students in applicable programs—this is the student’s time to shine!

We receive calls regularly from employers looking for employees to hire. Program completers are also entitled to work with the Office of Career Services (Career Services webpage).
