Ready to earn your WV Driver’s License? WVU Parkersburg is here to help! Our Driver Training Program provides the skills and confidence you need to become a safe, responsible driver.

Who Can Enroll?
This program is open to anyone who holds a valid instructional permit or driver’s license.

The process to register for this program is the same as all WVU Parkersburg courses:

- What happens after Submission:
- You WILL NOT receive an automatic submission confirmation email
- All applications are manually processed
- Please wait 1-2 business days after submission for a Program Coordinator to reach out and discuss class and payment details

- Class Registration
- The coordinator will register you after confirmation you are fully ready to commit to the course and how to pay the course fees
- Arrange Payment
- Make arrangements to either pay or start a payment plan for the course fees
- Enrolled
- After registration and payment, you will be officially enrolled in the class!

Program Location & Schedule
Classes are available at two campus locations convenient for both students and working adults:
- Innovation & Technology Center (ITC)
- Jackson County Center
This program focuses on building hands on confidence and skills behind the wheel and most ‘classes’ take place in the driver’s seat!
Seven driving sessions will be scheduled in small groups of two-three students; each student will drive for approximately one-third of the session to ensure plenty of practice time. For each class there will also be two classroom sessions, typically on the first and last days of the class from 5:30–7pm
- Driving Times: will be arranged based on student availability on the first day of class. Most sessions will take place between 3:30 and 9:30 p.m.
- Session Length: Most driving sessions will last approximately 90 minutes but could be scheduled between 75-120 minutes depending on class need.
Additional Details:
- Class Size: Minimum of 6 –maximum of 9 students
- Cost: $300 per person.
- DMV testing fees are not included.
- This program is not eligible for Financial Aid.
