Transfer Students

We look forward to helping you through the transfer process to become a Riverhawk! Our staff will help you through every step to ensure your transition to WVU Parkersburg is a smooth one.

Apply using the online application

When you get to the Confirmation Page at the end of the application, there will be a link you can click on to immediately fill out a short scholarship application.

If you need a paper copy of the Admission or Scholarship application, contact the Center for Student Services at 304-424-8310.

Apply For Aid

Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Use WVU Parkersburg’s school code, 003828, when completing the application.

Transcripts

Request that your high school transcript, GED or TASC test scores or homeschool transcript be mailed directly to WVU Parkersburg. This requirement does not apply to applicants who graduated more than five years prior to WVU Parkersburg enrollment.

If you completed a non-accredited homeschool program please contact the Center for Student Services to determine what documents are needed. Don’t worry – we can still serve you.

These transcripts must be sent directly from issuing institution to our Admissions Office.

Submit

Request to the registrars of all institutions previously attended to forward official transcripts to our Admissions Office.

Only credits earned at accredited institutions will be accepted for transfer.

Transcripts marked “issue to student,” faxed, or submitted directly by students will not be accepted.

Upon review, you may be required to submit course syllabi for evaluation.

Test Scores

If you’ve taken the ACT, SAT, or similar test within the past year, you may request your official test scores to be sent directly to the WVU Parkersburg Admissions Office.

These scores are not required for admission to the college but may be required for selective programs.
