Description
This 150-hour comprehensive program will provide a foundation of medical vocabulary while also training students to handle the increasing complexities of healthcare management. Learning how to be a medical billing and coding specialist will give you a competitive edge in the healthcare field. Upon completion of this course, students will be prepared to sit for the Certified Coding Associate (CCA) exam to become a Certified Medical Coder.
Topics of this course include:
Medical Terminology
This course provides an introduction to and working knowledge of the spelling, pronunciation and meaning of terms commonly used in the medical field.
Medical Billing
This course provides an introduction and working knowledge of medical billing procedures used in the medical field and in medical insurance operations.
Medical Coding
This course provides a working knowledge of medical coding procedure used in the medical field and in medical insurance operations. This course will prepare students to sit for the CCA exam, to become a Certified Medical Coder.
Intro to Taking Vitals
Going over 6 vitals: Pain, Oxygen Saturation, Temperature, Heart Rate, Respirations, and Blood Pressure.
