Description
This 133-hour program (94.5 hours of classroom instruction and 38.5 hours of clinical practice) prepares students for entry-level phlebotomy roles. Students gain hands-on experience in blood specimen collection for laboratory analysis and develop the skills needed to perform venipunctures safely and effectively.
The cost for this course is $2,000 per person. Financial assistance is available to West Virginia residents who qualify. Funding and/or payment must be secured by September 30, 2 weeks before the program starts.
Note: This program prepares students to sit for the National Phlebotomy exam.
There will be no class the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas through New Years.
Requirements
– High School diploma or GED equivalent
– Current immunizations and flu shot (ranges $10 to $350)
– Criminal background check (ranges $5 to $25)
– 3 pair of scrubs (ranges $15 to $50 each)
– Acrylic nails are not permitted for clinicals
