Drafting

At WVU Parkersburg, we take pride in providing our students with quality education, along with the tools they need to prepare them for the workforce upon graduation. Our drafting and design curriculums incorporate career planning classes with a capstone course that prepares students for the American Design Drafting Association certification exam by the end of the program. Drafting and design engineering classes set the stage for advanced careers in a variety of fields. We offer both an associate and a bachelor’s degree program.

Learn And Earn Program

West Virginia University at Parkersburg offers students the opportunity to gain paid work experience while completing their associate in Drafting through a state-funded program called Learn and Earn.

The Learn and Earn program is sponsored by the West Virginia Community and Technical College System, and is part of the Workforce Development Initiative Program. It is an opportunity to create partnerships between industry and community and technical colleges by allowing students hands-on learning experience, and employers to train ideal future employees.
