Business Technology

A degree in Business Technology (BTEC) will prepare you to be successful in managing a modern workplace. Major courses concentrate on developing software skills in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Other skills developed include web page design, desktop publishing, using social media to promote your company and creating communications to let customers know about products or services for your small or medium-sized business.

A career ladder enables you to begin with a one-year certificate then complete the two-year associate degree in Business Technology.

Our Certificate of Applied Science in Business Technology gives students a basic understanding of business technology skills and competencies. Graduates are prepared to work as receptionists in a variety of business settings.

Our Associate of Applied Science in Business Technology gives students a strong background in business technology skills and competencies. Graduates are prepared to work as administrative assistants or office managers in a variety of business settings. In addition, students may be admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration program to complete a bachelor degree in business information technology.
