Emergency Alert System
The Emergency Alert System provided to WVU Parkersburg current faculty, staff and students is designed to play a critical role in keeping everyone safe before, during and after a campus emergency. The communication system is only used to inform the campus community of an emergency, the impact the emergency has on class schedules and other key information in terms of recommendations to the message recipients.
Messages are delivered through a variety of methods including text messages with a message lead of: ALERT! Types of emergency may include weather alerts or loss of utilities (e.g. power, water, heat).
