WVU Parkersburg’s College Chorale to perform with West Virginia Symphony Orchestra

West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s College Chorale will perform with West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) in Charleston and Parkersburg as part of WVSO’s “Home For The Holidays” performance. The Charleston performance will take place at the Clay Center on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m., and the Parkersburg show will be at Blennerhassett Elementary School on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. The Parkersburg performance will also feature a special visit from Santa.

These performances will have a special emphasis on West Virginia talent. West Virginian composer Matthew Jackfert will have beautiful arrangements of classics, “We Three Kings of Orient Are” and “O Holy Night.”

“Home for the Holidays” in Charleston will be a large collaboration between the WVSO and several different choruses, including WVU Parkersburg’s College Chorale. Tickets for Charleston’s performance start at $10 and can be purchased by visiting wvsymphony.org or by calling the box office at 304.561.3570. $10 “Tweet Seats” are also available in the second balcony where the audience is encouraged share their concert experience via social media with the WVSO. Home for the Holidays in Charleston is sponsored by City National Bank.
