Courtyard_Class_041113-webFederal officials recently released online lists showing the higher education institutions with the highest and lowest tuition costs. West Virginia University at Parkersburg was listed as the sixth most affordable public college offering bachelor’s degree programs.

WVU Parkersburg was also the only college in the state that was listed for schools with lowest tuition. The lists, which can be found at www.collegecost.ed.gov, allow students and families to determine the schools with the best value.
“We try to keep our costs to students as low as possible to ensure that they receive a quality education that is affordable,” said President Dr. Marie Foster Gnage. “We also offer many free services such as tutoring, career planning and counseling in order to help our students succeed and have the best possible experience.”
In addition to low costs for in-state students, WVU Parkersburg has programs available to make tuition affordable for nearby Ohio residents. Depending on qualifications such as selected programs or geographical location, Ohio residents can qualify for either a 40 percent tuition reduction or in-state tuition rates.
