“We are excited to host a job fair closer to our WVU Parkersburg Jackson County Center and to work with the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce to bring their local employers and residents together,” said Jennifer Randolph, Director of Career Services at WVU Parkersburg. “This job fair is also just two days before our spring commencement, providing and a terrific opportunity for our graduating students.”
WVU Parkersburg students and alumni may schedule an appointment with WVU Parkersburg Career Services prior to the event for help with their resume, to practice their approach to an employer or for other employment or interviewing tips.
“We are holding this event in cooperation with the Jackson General Health Fair, which will be at the same location from 7 to 11 a.m. Many of the health fair vendors will also be participating in the job fair,” said Ron Gaskins with the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.
On Friday, September 28, WVU Parkersburg will also host the MOV Career Fair with U.S. Senator Joe Manchin at the main campus in Parkersburg.
