President Lamkin met with the WVU at Parkersburg Foundation Board of Directors on Aug. 15 to discuss various strategic priorities of the college for the 2017-2018 academic year, and beyond.

Incorporated in 1971, the foundation provides support to the college as an independent, non-profit corporation, providing private support for WVU-P while promoting its vision and goals with scholarships and assistance for single parents, funding for materials, activities, and construction projects.

Amongst the various topics discussed were academic quality, community involvement, and the upcoming visit from the Higher Learning Commission. The Board also toured the Professional Advising Center (PAC), Center for Student Services, and Riverhawk Resource and Tutoring Center to traverse the college with a student oriented experience.
