Advising Undeclared Majors

Advisors in the Academic Advising and Career Centers assist students who have not declared an academic major upon their initial enrollment.  Students who wish to develop a career plan or select a college major are encouraged to meet with an academic or career advisor to help clarify goals to secure career objectives.

Most students who enroll in college will change majors three to five times before graduation.  The Career Center is equipped with a career library and computers that are connected to the internet to assist students who are searching for information about various career options.  In addition, the Career Center has SIGI, a computerized guidance program, to assess a student’s values, interests and activities, provide information about careers and a decision-making module to help in the critical phase to decide on a plan of action.
