Staff Council Minutes
January 13, 2010
Present:
Rodney Parker, Drema Starkey, Pat Mollohan, Patsy Bee, Lennie Moore, Al Collins,Jessie Wass, Sandy Swisher, Melody Mercer, Bob Cooper, Dina Braniff, Tim Beardsley
Absent:
Janice McCue, Violet MosserWe would like to thank Lennie Moore, and Bob Cooper for providing the refreshments for Staff Council.
Welcome and call to order by Rodney.
Minutes approved as read. Motion made by Patsy Bee and seconded by Melody Mercer
.President Marie Gnage
Marie visited the meeting to let Staff Council know that we would have a budget cut and it could be up to Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars.
She also stated that if there was any area or ideas that we could save money she would be more than happy to listen to those ideas.
Board of Governors Report
No Report
It was reported that the next Board of Governors Meeting would be February 10, 2010.
ACCE Meeting
No Report
Treasurer’s report was given and approved.
OLD BUSINESS
American Sampler
Pat talked with staff council concerning the table rental and staff being able to get a table or to at no cost during the American sampler. We discussed that staff would be limited to one or two tables and anything after that they would have to pay for the additional ones. We also discussed that a staff person could not get tables and have four or five people set up at them. The person requesting the table must be at the table or have it approved who will be at the table. It was also brought up that all table fees would be collected before anyone could set up
.It was also brought up that we need to make sure that the events are well advertised.
NEW BUSINESS
Rodney and Al will get a presentation together for the Board of Governors concerning
Salary Schedule being fully funded, Money Raised for Scholarships, and Fundraisers.
