Old  Business

Scenario

The scenario will be held in the Caperton Center on the evening of March 17th.  The event will be similar to last year’s, but will include a hazmat component.

Follow-Up

New Business

Slippery Floors

Dave noted that a different de-icer was used this year and the floor wax was having a reaction to it.  The floor wax has since been removed, and they switched to a different de-icer.

Concern was raised about how to properly lift a larger person.  If it is not possible to safely help someone, EMTs should be called.  When the call is made, the caller should tell 911 that it is a larger person, so the responders bring equipment for a larger person.

Flickering lights

It has been noticed that some of the lights in the building tend to “flicker.”  This is a potential problem for those that suffer from seizures and migraines.  Dave White noted that he is in contact with the project manager at Seimans about the issue.  He suggested sending him emails of support/concern, and he would forward them to the project manager.  Changing ballasts could be a potential solution.
