Kid’s College begins June 17 at WVU Parkersburg

College isn’t just for adults anymore. This summer, children ages 8 – 12 can attend West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s inaugural Kid’s College program. Children can attend one or both weeks of classes from June 17 – 20 and June 24 – 27, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily. Topics range from archaeology and gardening to culinary arts and sculpting. Registration closes Wednesday, June 12.

Children can choose four classes per week. The daily schedule includes class, lunch and daily physical activity. Kid’s College will expose students to art, science, reading, languages and much more. The purpose of Kid’s College is to allow children to experience the college atmosphere through fun and educational activities.

  • Teaching & Learning Styles
  • Kids Gardening Adventures

  • Culinary Cooking

  • Puppetry
  • Introduction to Spanish
  • CPR Certification
  • Cultural Exploration
  • Nature Exploration
