Jackson County Center offers degrees through flexible course schedule

Students can now finish a variety of degrees through West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Jackson County Center (JCC). Combining on-campus and online courses, students are able to earn certificates and associate degrees through a more convenient schedule.

“Through a combination of in-person classes at the Jackson County Center and online courses, students can now easily obtain a variety of one and two-year degrees that will allow them to enter the workforce or pursue advanced degrees,” said John Gorrell, WVU Parkersburg JCC dean.

The following one-year degree certificates are available through JCC:

  • Business Administration
  • Business Technology
  • Child Development
  • Paraprofessional Certificate (Pre K-12)

The following associate degrees are also available through JCC:

  • Associate of Art
  • Associate of Science
  • Business Administration
  • Business Technology
  • Child Development

“We are happy to offer this convenient schedule to our JCC students,” said Dr. Hank Dunn, senior vice president for WVU Parkersburg. “We are always looking for ways to better serve our region, and these programs will make it much easier for residents in and near Jackson County to obtain degrees to advance their careers.”
