College Communications
WVU Parkersburg's College Communications is
responsible for all institutional communications and advertising in
publications, on radio or television and on the web. College
Communications facilitates communication and information to the
college's faculty, staff, students, alumni, institutional and higher
education boards and other audiences. It serves as the college's
news, information and public relations unit; responds to news media
inquiries, and provides media with press releases and feature story
suggestions. The unit coordinates the college's Facebook and
Twitter presence. Various vehicles are utilized
including publications, the campus closed-circuit tv system,
on-line bulletin board, and other media.
Also, the unit is responsible for the development
and control of the college web site; the college's Intranet, a part of
West Virginia University's Intranet
system; and an E-News e-mail service; the college Information
Desk/main switchboard and
campus postal services.
