A LEGACY OF PEACE. WVUP and DuPont will co-sponsor a community celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of peace on February 24, 2014. The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the College Activities Center. Participating in the program will be the Parkersburg Catholic High School Band and choirs from Pleasants County, VanDevender and Edison Middle Schools. Keynote speaker for the program will be David M. Fryson, Esq., Chief Diversity Officer for West Virginia University. The recipient of the 2014 Mid-Ohio Valley Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Award will be announced during the program and a reception will follow. The event is free and open to the public.
