Opioid Addiction: Educating, Responding, Treating
This three-event series is a free program to educate the public on the opioid epidemic.
• Educating: Thursday, March 29 at 6 p.m. in the College Activities Center – This first event includes a screening of the Oscar-nominated documentary “Heroin(e)” followed by a panel discussion with the three women featured in the film.
• Responding: Thursday, April 5 at 6 p.m. in the College Theater – This panel will feature first responders and an emergency room physician who will discuss what happens when responding to a drug overdose.
• Treating: Thursday, April 12 at 6 p.m. in the College Theater – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin will skype into this event to introduce a panel discussion focusing on treatment for opioid addiction.
