During this course, you will learn basic camera controls and how to get the most from the camera you have. Please bring your cameras along with additional lenses you may have along with your camera owner’s manual. Students that know the controls on their cameras will learn how to use their knowledge to improve their photography results.
The course will also discuss different types of cameras and photography equipment, and which choices may work best for different people and subjects. Students will have the opportunity to bring in their photos for group critics.
You will learn simple ways to improve your photos, along with the rules of composition as well as learn when you want a wide-angle lens, when to use a telephoto lens, and when to stick with what you have. The course will also discuss some limited post-processing techniques, such as cropping, black & white conversion, and more. Class cost – $30 for three 2.5 hour sessions.
