These classes are provided by West Virginia University at Parkersburg to offer you fun and affordable learning opportunities. These are community classes, so you don’t need to be a student of WVUP to register.
This class is intended for healthcare professionals and healthcare students. This class covers basic life support skills including chest compressions, the use of a bag-mask device, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Students will also learn to recognize early respiratory and cardiac arrest symptoms and how to manage them. Those who pay the additional certification fee will receive their certification card from the American Heart Association in the mail after the class is complete.
