West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Environmental Action Group will host the college’s annual Earth Day Expo on Wednesday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be a celebration of the state’s natural beauty and a recognition of some of the environmental threats facing the world.
This year’s expo includes children’s crafts, live music by former WVU Parkersburg faculty member Chase Brady, and the ever-popular tree seedling giveaway by the West Virginia Division of Forestry. Exhibitors will include Mother Earth Foods, the Jackson Park nature trail, Friends of the Lower Muskingum River, the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources, Zach Orcutt, the WVU Parkersburg Pollinator Project, biology department, diversified agriculture program, Health and Wellness Club, and a variety of others.
