Greetings,

 

Welcome to WVU at Parkersburg's course management system, Blackboard Vista. We prefer to call it the eCampus.

 

If you have a course that requires the use of the eCampus , then you are in the right place to get started.  On this page, you will find links to look up your eCampus Username,  to get helpdesk assistance by phone or online and to find other helpful distance learning links.  If you would like more information about distance learning at WVU at Parkersburg please visit the Online Education Information page.

 

eCampus courses open to students on the first day of the semester at 8:00 am or the first day that the class meets. Student access to eCampus courses closes at 8:00 pm on the Wednesday following Finals Week or the Wednesday after the course ends (if the course does not follow the traditional semester schedule).

PREPARING YOUR COMPUTER FOR THE eCAMPUS
 

Before trying to log into the eCampus, you should check the eCampus technical requirements page to prepare your computer for logging into and using the tools in the system.  Pop-up blockers should be disabled and the correct version of Java needs installed and enabled in order for users to be able to properly log in and use all of the eCampus tools.  You should also check to see if your Web browser is a recommended version for use with the eCampus.
 

LOGGING IN FOR THE FIRST TIME

 

YOUR eCAMPUS USER NAME & PASSWORD

You will need to use your college assigned
MIX email account BEFORE setting up your eCampus/Master ID. You will find directions for using your email account at http://wvup.edu/dl/OnlineEd/MIXAccounts.htm.

 

 You can find out how to get your ID/Username, activate your account and set up your password by going to this page...eCampus ID/Master ID Information.

 

****    NEW INFORMATION FOR SPRING 2008    ****   

 

Previous eCAMPUS/WebCT user? 

Starting in the Spring 2008 semester, you will need to use your Master ID and password to log into the eCampus to see the list of your current courses. If you were enrolled in an eCampus course previously, you will be able to log into the system using the username and password that you used before, but you will not be able to see your current courses.

Changing your password...You may change your password at any time by going to the Master ID page and clicking on the Change your MasterID Password link.

 

Logging into the eCampus, go to the WVU-Parkersburg's homepage and click the eCampus link. Under the Hosted Schools Login section of the page, click the WVU @ Parkersburg graphic link.  You will then need to enter your user name and password and click the OK button.

 

Once you are logged into the eCampus, you should see your courses listed in the Course List section of the My WVU-P eCampus page.  It may take up to 24 hours for your courses to appear in the list of courses if you registered late.

 

Logging into your courses...To enter a course to find the course content, simply click on the name of the course in the Course List.  If the course requires the purchase of an access code, they you may be required to type in an access code from a publisher to enter the course or specific content within a course.
