The Center for Teaching &
Technology offers training to familiarize faculty in how to use technology in the learning
environment. By becoming acquainted with the various technologies
available, training and workshops give instructors the opportunity to be
familiar with an array of innovative teaching strategies and approaches
to various styles of learning.
Faculty may be coached in the use of eCampus including creating and
managing online classes, as well as in the use of classroom technology such
as the TurningPoint Clicker Response System, video symposiums, and video
conferencing.
CT&T offers workshops to train faculty in the use of technology in the
learning environment. Scheduled workshops will be posted within
our website's news updates and on the
Center for Teaching & Technology FaceBook.
Faculty members are eligible to request a workshop to be taught by one
of our experienced CT&T trainers. A minimum of five attendees (to
include a combination of student workers, faculty, staff, and/or
administrators) is required and a maximum of twenty-four attendees for each
session.
To request a workshop, please e-mail
jessamine.wass@mail.wvu.edu.
Please allow an appropriate amount of time for workshop requests to be
scheduled. We suggest as least three weeks to allow for
preparation. Approval and scheduling for each request is due to
availability of trainer(s) and training lab(s).
One-on-one training sessions are available for faculty. However,
like the workshops, please allow the appropriate amount of time for
training requests to be scheduled. These sessions are based on
availability of trainer(s) and training site(s). To request a
one-on-one session, e-mail
jessamine.wass@mail.wvu.edu.
