West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s College Chorale student organization will perform its spring concert on Saturday, April 29. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the College Theatre in the main building and is free and open to the public.

The concert will include psalm setting from several traditions, a setting of William Blake’s Songs of Innocence, traditional spirituals, and will feature graduating senior sopranos Juliane Beckett and Yiyi Ocasio-Kaftanic. Other Chorale members include Kayla Bain, Justin Bosley, Morgan Carez, Tara Elm, Austin Fields, Colleen Hoselton, Benjamin Houghton, Luke Snyder, Rebecca Snyder, and Ryan Wolfe.

Earlier this semester, Becket and Ocasio-Kaftani presented solo voice recitals. Four Chorale members were selected to be part of the 2017 West Virginia American Choral Directors Associations’ Collegiate Honor Choir, and the College Chorale joined the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra for its popular Home for the Holidays concerts in Charleston and Parkersburg.
