College Chorale performs May 21

The College Chorale of West Virginia University at Parkersburg will present its Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1001 Juliana Street, Parkersburg. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert will include sacred works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Adrian Batten, Dimitri Bortnianski, and W.A. Mozart, poetic settings by Ola Gjeilo, Chen Yi, Halsey Stevens, and Gwyneth Walker, and the premiere of a new setting of Mary of the Wild Moor, a West Virginia folk song, arranged by West Virginia State University professor Dr. Dirk Johnson. The College Chorale is conducted by professor of music Dr. H.G. Young III.
