CAMPUS CLOSINGS AND CLASS CANCELLATIONS INFORMATION
The official announcement regarding WVU Parkersburg classes being canceled or delayed or the campus being closed can be obtained from the college’s main switchboard (304-424-8000) or the college's toll-free number, 1-800-WVA-WVUP. Also, the college web site ( www.wvup.edu ) will provide notices of official information.
Please Note: the campus rarely closes because of weather-related conditions.
Day Classes/Campus Openings. The decision regarding closings/cancellations is made by the college president usually by 6 a.m. for day classes/campus openings.
Night Classes/Campus Openings. The decision regarding closings/cancellations is made by the college president usually by 3 p.m. for night classes/campus openings.
Area media (radio, newspaper and television) are contacted to disseminate closing/delay information. Students, faculty and staff should confirm media announcements from one of the above college sources.
