Theatre Department schedules additional auditions

WVU Parkersburg Theatre Department to hold additional auditions for upcoming production.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will hold additional auditions for "The Complete History of America (abridged)" at 7 p.m., Tuesday (June 6) in The College Theatre.

The play, written by two of the three authors who created "The Complete Wrks of Wllm Shakspr (abridged)" is a crazy comedy that presents the entire history of the country in less than two hours.

Auditions are open to area residents as well as WVU Parkersburg students, faculty and staff. Three actors are needed for the production which is filled with inaccuracies and mistakes.

Auditionees will be asked to present a two-minute, learned comedic monologue and may be asked to read from the script. Performances will be the weekend of July 7. This play contains what might be deemed "mature" material by some and auditionees should be at least 16 years old.
