Assessment: Business Programs Student Performance Data and Results
All of WVU Parkersburg’s academic programs are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which is the same accrediting body that accredits WVU’s programs. However, many programs at WVU Parkersburg also have specialized accreditation. Our business programs are now accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) with the exception of a few programs in the Business & Economics Division which are listed below.
- Certificate in Applied Science in Business Administration: The ACBSP does not currently accredit the Certificate of Applied Science in Business Administration since it has no graduates to date.
- Associate in Applied Science in Journalism: The ACBSP does not currently accredit the Associate of Applied Science in Journalism since the program does not include the core business courses required for accreditation.
- Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration with a Broadcasting concentration: The ACBSP does not currently accredit this since it is a new program. The Business & Economics Division will apply for accreditation of the broadcasting option within two to three years following successful graduation of the first class in this concentration.
