Welcome to the Humanities, Fine Arts & Social Sciences Division of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. Whether writing short stories and poetry, acting, singing with an acclaimed chorale, using welding to create a work of art, throwing your own pottery, participating on the forensic speech and debate team, experiencing language and culture, learning the history of crime, pursuing leadership training and opportunities, working with WPKM, the college radio station —we have much to offer. Try learning aerobics or table tennis; study the brain and abnormal behavior or world religions; explore Native American history or American Sign Language. Our division is also a vital contributor to the Regents Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in Psychology, Sociology, Communication Studies, Journalism and History; to the MDS (Multi-Disciplinary Studies) minors; as well as courses at area high schools.
