WVU Parkersburg announces faculty promotions FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Parkersburg, W.Va. 11/2/11 – Seven West Virginia University at Parkersburg faculty have received promotions in rank and three were awarded tenure, effective with the fall 2011 semester. The following faculty were promoted from instructor to assistant professor: Zach Orchutt (art), Stacey Watkins (nursing), Rebecca Duckworth (nursing), John Altman (accounting), Stephen Smith (accounting), Sandra Kolankiewicz (English) and Melissa Spivy (education). Tenure, a special status awarded by an institution following a term of service, was awarded to: Lisa Flowers-Clements, assistant professor and coordinator of developmental education; Nancy Dew, assistant professor of biology; and Rob Anderson, assistant professor of history.
