College Honorees.  Two West Virginia University at Parkersburg students have been recognized for being named to the Phi Theta Kappa All-West Virginia Academic Team.  Morgan Smith of Parkersburg and Ashli Carte of Kenna earned the honor by achieving a 3.5 cumulative grade point average while pursuing an associate degree.  A reception and ceremony were held recently in the Capitol rotunda in Charleston in which certificates and medallions were presented in celebration of their honor.  Shown (left to right) are Marie Foster Gnage, president of WVU Parkersburg; Natalie Tennant, West Virginia Secretary of State; Ms. Smith, and Violet Mosser, WVU Parkersburg PTK advisor.  Not shown is Ms. Carte.  PTK is the international honor society for community colleges.
