WVU Parkersburg prepares for Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will provide limited student-related services Friday (July 31) due to the Mid-Ohio Valley Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic being on campus this weekend (July 31-August 1.

"With the expected numbers of people on campus to participate in the clinic, we suggest students use on-line services Friday to apply, register or confirm registrations rather than visit campus," said Anthony Underwood, vice president for Student Services. 

College staff are also being encouraged to take annual leave to diminish campus congestion related to the volume of people and occupation of college spaces anticipated for the clinic operations.  Campus offices will be open, however, and providing services, Underwood noted.

Several thousand area residents are expected to visit WVU Parkersburg as dental patients and volunteers during the free two-day clinic.
