Black Hare Renaissance Faire to be held Oct. 25 at Jackson County Junior Fair Grounds.

A renaissance fair featuring music, games and customs of old is planned for Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Jackson County Junior Fair Grounds in Cottageville.
The Black Hare Renaissance Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is sponsored by the Carbon 12 4- Drama Club and West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
The all-day fair will feature music by Mountain Thyme, Wolf Creek Session and Appalachian Celtic Consort, among others. Living chess, highland games, fencing demonstrations, storytelling, artisans, a haunted labyrinth, classes in courtly manners, and hands-on children's activities will be featured.
