WVU Parkersburg Music and Theatre Departments announce open auditions for "H.M.S. Pinafore."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEOpen auditions for an upcoming production of Gilbert and Sullivan's light opera "H.M.S. Pinafore" will be held Dec. 1-4 at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
Roles needed for the production include: 7-10 female chorus members; 7-10 male chorus members; five principal male roles, and three principal female roles.
Auditions will be held in the college theatre (room 1305) 2-4 p.m., Monday (Dec. 1); 6:30-9 p.m., Tuesday (Dec. 2); 2-4 p.m., Wednesday (Dec. 3), and 6:30-9 p.m., Thursday (Dec. 4).
The Music and Theatre Departments of WVU Parkersburg will present the production on Feb. 20-22, 2009.
Those auditioning will not need to bring prepared audition pieces but will work with the directors on a short choral selection from the show.
