The Drew Davis Band will appear in concert at 7 p.m., Friday, April 11, at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

The band has shared the stage with such artists as Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley, Tanya Tucker, Sugarland, Travis Tritt and Keith Urban at major venues and country music festivals, including Country USA, Country Thunder USA and Country Stampede.

All the members of the Drew Davis Band already had separate careers in music, but with Davis' persistence, came together to form the Drew Davis Band.  In 2004, the group entered what it thought was a local talent competition.  Instead, the band members found themselves winning the first level of the Colgate Country Showdown.  The band also won the state, regional and national titles from the competition, along with a cash prize of $100,000. 

The band's stage show features a tight, energetic, crowd-pleasing performance, enhanced by five layers of vocal harmony.  Band member accolades include six Grammy nominations, and credits and appearances on national televised shows on NBC, CBS, ABC, CMT and GAC.

Advance tickets are $5 for the general public and $3 for WVU Parkersburg students.  Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door at $7.  There are no reserved seats.
