WVU Parkersburg Theatre Department to present children's classic "James and the Giant Peach."

Free productions of the children's classic "James and the Giant Peach" will be performed Sept. 12-14 at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
Curtain time is 7 p.m., Sept. 12 and 13, and 2 p.m., Sept. 14 in the college theatre (Room 1305). The shows are free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Jeff Byrd, the college's Theatre Department production will feature an ensemble cast of area college and high school students incorporating aspects of live performance and puppetry in the production of the show.
The stage adaptation of the classic children's story involves James' discovery of a giant peach which triggers an eventful journey across the sea.
