WVU Parkersburg campus to remember 9/11.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

An observance of the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 tragedy will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday (Sept. 11) at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

Representatives of the National Guard will participate in the remembrance ceremony, coordinated by the college's Student Government Association and being held at the campus flagpole.

Providing comments will be WVU Parkersburg President Marie Foster Gnage and Kim Starkey, president of Student Government.

The brief ceremony is open to the public.  A moment of silence will be observed.

The campus will pause to remember those who lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the airline flights on Sept. 11, 2001.
