FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEWest Virginia University at Parkersburg's first live webcast will be a unique feature of Tuesday's (Aug. 7) forum with West Virginia University's president-elect.The informal discussion session with President-Elect Mike Garrison will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the College Theatre (Room 1305). Serving as moderator for the forum will be Phil McClung, WVU Parkersburg professor of psychology and 2006 WV Professor of the Year finalist.WVU Web Services staff plan to broadcast the WVU Parkersburg forum live via streaming video. It will be available on the presidential transition site (http://transition.wvu.edu/).
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and area residents are invited to attend the Parkersburg campus forum.
"We are pleased to host the discussion and 'join the conversation' as part of the transition process," noted WVU Parkersburg President Marie Foster Gnage.
Those who cannot attend may voice their thoughts online through the transition web site. On the site, visitors can participate in one of many discussion groups, access details on upcoming public forums and read Garrison’s blog entries.cd080307
