Fourteen West Virginia University at Parkersburg elementary education majors are student teaching in Wood County schools this semester. They include: ( front row, left to right) Rebekah Craig, Stephanie Young, Chasity Rice, and Becky Brabham; (second row) Cherish George and Jackie Siers; (third row, standing) Joel Crawford, Tim Vanooyen, Julie Bradley, Patsy White, Stephanie Goudy, Mary Howard, Valerie Grogg, and Shannon Kerns. They are completing requirements for the college's Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education degree. The students are placed at Worthington, Martin, Neale, Mineral Wells, Fairplains, Williamstown, Lubeck and Madison elementary schools, all professional development schools in WVU Parkersburg's Partnerships Project in Wood County. A total of 27 WVU Parkersburg education majors are student teaching this semester, including 14 additional students at Jackson, Roane and Wirt elementary schools.
