WVU Parkersburg student group sponsoring Sept. 29th walk event to increase awareness regarding mental illness.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEStudents at West Virginia University at Parkersburg are sponsoring a walk to raise awareness regarding mental illness.
The walk will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 29, at WVU Parkersburg's health and wellness trail, located on the campus lawn behind the college. It is part of a national walk in support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Participants are encouraged, but not required, to raise funds on their own in participating in the walk. T-shirts will be available. Proceeds benefit the WV NAMI Association which oversees NAMI activities throughout the state.
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with serious mental illness and their families.
