WVU Parkersburg faculty member's poetry published.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEThe coordinator of West Virginia University at Parkersburg's English Department has had several poems accepted recently for publication in literary magazines.
The poetry of John Hoppenthaler is appearing in "Barrow Street," "The Laurel Review," "The Florida Review," "Inkwell," "ABZ," and "Alehouse."
In addition, he is on the faculty at the 2007 Writers at the Beach Conference in Rehoboth Beach, DE, March 16-18. The conference features workshops, panel discussions, readings, and other writer-related activities. All faculty members work for free, and 100% of the profits go to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
Hoppenthaler received his master of fine arts degree in poetry writing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1988. His poetry has appeared in a number of literary publications. Among his honors are an individual artist grant from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts; fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts; a foreign travel grant from West Virginia University, and numerous Pushcart Prize nominations. His first book of poetry, "Lives Of Water," was published by Carnegie Mellon University Press in 2003, a second volume, "Anticipate the Coming Reservoir," is forthcoming in 2008.
