WVU Parkersburg to host state's community and technical college governing board.

The West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education will meet Friday (Oct. 26) at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.The 12-member Council serves as the governing body for the state's community and technical colleges. It is WVU Parkersburg's coordinating board.
The Council's meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m., Friday (Oct. 26), in the college's multi-purpose room. The session is open to the public. The Council holds its meetings in Charleston and at various community college campuses throughout the year.
Greg Smith, director of marketing and public affairs at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, is a member of the Council.Also, the WV Advisory Council of Classified Employees will meet at WVU Parkersburg Thursday (Oct. 25) and Friday. Comprised of elected classified employee representatives from each of the state's public colleges and universities, the advisory council will make a presentation to the CTCE Council during its Friday session. WVU Parkersburg's ACCE representative is Tim Beardsley, director of student development.
